New York Yankees Host Exceptional Parent's Disability Awareness Event
The EP Foundation for Education and Exceptional Parent magazine presented a Disability Awareness event on July 5, 2005 when the New York Yankees took on the Baltimore Orioles at Yankee Stadium, paying tribute to the contributions of the 54 million Americans with disabilities, their families, and caregivers. At a pre-game ceremony near home plate, the EP Maxwell J. Schleifer Distinguished Service Award was presented to Orrin Devinsky, MD, and Robert Cancro, MD.

2nd Annual Progress in Psychiatry Gala
Hosted by Dr. Robert Cancro, Director of the Mental Illness Prevention Center and Chairman-Emeritus of Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine, the 2nd Annual Progress in Psychiatry Gala was an Oscar-themed party at the Capitale restaurant honoring 2003 Oscar-winning producer Marty Richards.
